Based in Bermuda. Working remotely with owner-managed businesses across the US East Coast.

Know where your business stands; every month, not just at tax time.

Outsourced bookkeeping, accounting, monthly reporting and tax preparation for small and owner-managed businesses. We start by understanding how your business runs, then agree on the support that will actually be useful.

What we do

1.

Reliable books: transactions recorded and categorized properly, bank and credit card accounts reconciled, a general ledger that holds up, and a real monthly close; so the numbers are right before you need them. If the books are behind, catch-up and clean-up work comes first.

2.

Information you can use: monthly management accounts; profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, budget versus actual, receivables and payables aging, the operational numbers that matter in your business, and a short written explanation of what moved and why.

3.

The right level of support: some businesses need monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations. Others need accounts payable and receivable, payroll accounting, tax return preparation, year-end, QuickBooks Online or Xero support, or a full outsourced finance function. We agree on scope once we understand how you operate.

Your books shouldn't only make sense at tax time.

Plenty of owner-managed businesses already have a bookkeeper or an accountant and still can't answer simple questions. Are the books right? Is the business actually profitable? Where is the cash going, and what is due next month? Reports arrive too late to act on, QuickBooks or Xero has drifted out of shape, and accounting only gets attention around tax deadlines.

We work the other way around: reliable books, financial information you can use, and the right level of support for the way your business actually runs.

Questions owners usually ask

Do we have to change accounting systems? No. We work in QuickBooks Online and Xero. If the current setup is a mess, we would rather fix it than start again.
What if the books are behind? That is common, and it is usually where we start. Catch-up and clean-up work is scoped and priced separately so you can see what it costs to get current, then move to a steady monthly rhythm.
Do you replace our tax preparer? Not necessarily. We can prepare returns, or simply hand clean, reconciled records to whoever files them.
How does remote actually work? Bank feeds, cloud accounting and shared documents do most of the lifting. You get a monthly reporting pack on a set date and one person who knows your business.
Can you work alongside our existing bookkeeper? Yes. Sometimes the right answer is to keep day-to-day bookkeeping in-house and add monthly review, reporting and year-end support around it.
What will it cost? That depends on transaction volume, number of accounts, payroll, reporting needs and the state of the books. We price the scope after the introductory call and keep it competitive for small and owner-managed businesses.

Not sure exactly what you need?

That's a normal place to start. Some businesses need monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations. Others need a full outsourced finance function. Most sit somewhere in between. We'll spend a call understanding how your business runs and what you already have in place, then agree on a scope that is actually useful. Pricing follows the scope of work and is designed to stay competitive for small and owner-managed businesses.
